Judge O’Donnell’s Bio:
Judge O’Donnell started his legal career as a Rule 9 intern for then-Attorney General Christine Gregoire. The late Norm Maleng then hired him as a full-time deputy prosecutor. While at the King County Prosecutor’s Office, Judge O’Donnell served as a member of the Green River Task Force, helping successfully prosecute the nation’s most prolific serial killer, Gary L. Ridgway. Judge O’Donnell went on to prosecute the state’s first commercial sexual abuse of a minor case and the state’s first human trafficking case. His work with juveniles who are forced or manipulated into prostitution saw him travel the country as the National Association of Attorneys General’s Chief Trainer for Human Trafficking.

Judge O’Donnell has been active in the community, serving as chair of the Washington State Bar Association’s Legislative Committee, as an adjunct faculty member at Seattle University School of Law, and as a member of the Children’s Response Center Advisory Board and the Green River Community College Criminal Justice Advisory Board.

Admission is free for members. Non-member price is only $10.00. See you at Angelo’s!

Come and learn about the career and times of Russ Reuther, Kitsap County’s Chief Deputy Coroner. Unlike the Medical Examiner in larger cities and counties, the Coroner is a separately elected public official within Washington State.

Russ has a background of seven years in law enforcement in San Diego, and sixteen cumulative years as Lead Chaplain for both Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue and the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, as well as nearly two decades as a local pastor. His education included undergraduate Police Science and Criminal Justice-Administration, with graduate education in Pastoral Studies and Leadership.

He is currently Chief Deputy Coroner of Kitsap County, and is a member of the Washington Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners and the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners. He’s active in the Kitsap community, serving on the Compassionate Friends Advisory Board, Cribs for Kids program, YMCA Safe Kids Advisory Board, and the Suicide Prevention Coalition.

So please join us for an interesting and educational evening. Hot Java Café serves beer, wine, and light food. Sailing times and rates for the Seattle-to-Bremerton ferry can be found here.
