September speaker switcheroo

31 08 2014

Our previously scheduled speaker–computer forensics expert Randall Karstetter–has a scheduling conflict and will be unable to attend our September meeting.

But never fear. The chapter board is delighted to announce that a Seattle Police detective has graciously agreed to step in at this late date and serve as the guest speaker for our September 13 meeting!

Tim Renihan has served as a Seattle Police detective since 1998 and currently works on a taskforce with the federal Department of Homeland Security.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at Angelo’s Ristorante, 601 SW 153rd St., in Burien.

Renihan, who has a background in Army criminal intelligence, worked in patrol for SPD before joining the department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit, which collects and analyzes information and coordinates with other agencies to monitor and prevent organized criminal activities. His recent work includes murder-for-hire investigations and providing executive protection for visiting dignitaries.

He’ll talk about his work and take questions from attendees.

Please join us! RSVP on our MWA-NW Facebook page.
